CHROME PARTIAL DENTURE

Chrome Dentures are constructed using a Cobalt chrome or Gold metal which is strong and has a degree of flex .

They are compatible within the oral environment and do not tarnish.The material is very durable and hard wearing and can last many years.The metal frame can out last the acrylic teeth attached to it.In some cases if the metal frame of the chrome denture fits all right then the old acrylic teeth can be removed and new teeth place on the old frame saving the patient a considerable amount.

The down side of a cobalt chrome partial denture is if it is accidentally bent or twisted out of its original shape .As it is a precision cast metal appliance the fit cant be duplicated .

Chrome Partial Dentures take a few days longer to construct .The metal frame must be made and tried in to check the fit and design then the teeth can be added .The patient will be shown the partial as it is being made and has input in its design checking all stages like the shade selection and the shape of the teeth.When the patient is happy with the look of the chrome partial it will be finished.
